The new CEO of the Almond Alliance, the industry’s lead lobbying organization, will be uniquely qualified. Alexi Rodriguez, who current chairs the Almond Board of California’s Board of Directors, is stepping down in January to take the reins of the Alliance.
Rodriguez is certainly a busy woman. She is also Director of Operations for Campos Brothers Farms of Fresno County, CA, and when called for comment upon being named to her new post, couldn’t respond because she was due to have a baby any day.
She will have certainly have her hands full in all sorts of ways, as the industry has faced some turbulent times in the last few years. With the impending election, industry leaders are bracing for just about anything.
Blake Vann, who chairs the Almond Alliance, said that with a distinguished career in the almond industry and a deep commitment to agricultural advocacy, Rodriguez will lead the Almond Alliance into its next chapter of growth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alexi Rodriguez as the next CEO of the Almond Alliance,” he said. “Her proven leadership and deep understanding of the almond industry make her the ideal choice to guide our organization into the future. Alexi has been a steadfast advocate for the industry and we are confident that under her leadership the Almond Alliance will continue to thrive and champion the interests of our members.”
YOUNG BUT EXPERIENCED
Rodriguez brings more than 15 years of experience in the industry. Her leadership has driven strategic growth, operational efficiency, and innovation across the industry, Vann said. Beyond her operational roles, Rodriguez has strongly advocated for the almond industry on regulatory and compliance matters.
Rodriguez’s appointment follows an extensive search process, underscoring the Almond Alliance’s commitment to finding a leader who embodies the organization’s vision and values, he said. Her leadership is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies to strengthen the Alliance’s role as the voice of American almonds.
Rodriguez is uniquely positioned to lead the Almond Alliance as it continues to promote the interests of its members and drive the industry toward a sustainable and prosperous future, Vann said.
Clarice Turner, President and CEO of the Almond Board of California, said she and her ABC colleagues were delighted to congratulate Rodriguez for being named the incoming CEO of the Almond Alliance.
“We look forward to our remaining months working with Alexi as our current chair of the ABC Board of Directors, and thank her for her leadership, insight and energy in helping guide our board and in working hard to support the almond industry during a difficult economic period for California almonds and all of California farming,” she said. “We also look forward to working with Alexi in her new role.”
