As Visit Yolo County writes, “Just as you wouldn’t enter someone’s backyard without permission, it is inappropriate to enter a farmer’s private field.” You can take pictures from the shoulder of the road or just enjoy the views from your car as you drive through.
Bakersfield
Most years, almond blossoms start to bloom in Bakersfield earlier than in the rest of the state. And according to some recent social media posts over the last week, now’s the time to see them. Peak bloom is fleeting and usually only lasts a few weeks, so now is the time to make the drive.

According to Bakersfield.com, Kern County led the state in uprooting local almond orchards in the last year due to “challenging market conditions.”
